Body contouring after bariatric surgery

If you’ve lost significant weight, you probably feel great. But such weight loss can leave excess sagging skin and fat in many body areas. Body contouring can put the final touches on your weight loss by removing that excess tissue.

Body contouring can include a series of surgeries, and Dr. Marshall will talk with you about which combination of techniques is best for you. He will also answer all your questions about the procedures and your recovery. He may recommend some or all of these:

  • Lower body lift (tummy tuck) for sagging skin on your abdomen, groin and buttocks.
  • Breast lift to reshape sagging breasts.
  • Arm lift to remove excess or sagging skin at your upper arms.
  • Thigh lift to reshape sagging skin at your inner and outer thighs

Dr. Marshall will talk to you about the timing of these surgeries. The incisions are strategically placed to be well hidden when wearing normal clothing. You’ll need approximately 4 to 6 weeks to recover before your next procedure.  As with any cosmetic medical procedure, results vary from patient to patient.
